Manual recording of surface profiles Testex Gauges are designed to read testex blast profile tapes. Testex tapes come in a variety of micron ranges and is used to test blasted surface profile. Testex Tape consists of a layer of compressible foam affixed to an incompressible polyester substrate. By placing the testex tape on the surface and rubbing with burnishing tool the peak to valley height of the profile can be taken by leaving an impression on the surface of the tape foam, the tape is then measured with a Testex Gauge to give surface profile. Gauge comes supplied with hard case, instructions and batteries. Testex tapes are purchased separately as boxes of 50 tapes.
